The Associated Press described the process back in 2004: Civets live in the foliage of plantations across Southeast Asia. These fussy foragers pick the best and ripest coffee berries. Enzymes in their digestive system break down the flesh of the fruit before the animals expel the bean. I don't know sounds like a scam, I am sure i can find my German Shepard some coffee beans from Starbucks. Let him ingest the beans, and i will let the Britons take the beans if they clean up the residual effects of feeding a dog. Sheesh, just gross.
