N. Korea hates freedom, Pirates, and the internet

N. Korea no longer cares what the world thinks about their nuclear program until they pay more money. (Christian Science Monitor)
"North Korea on Tuesday announced that it was walking out on six-party talks to end its nuclear program, and vowed to resume operating its nuclear facilities. The decision comes a day after the 15-member United Nations Security Council condemned North Korea's April 5 rocket launch, which critics argue was a long-range missile test.
According to North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency, the decision to abandon international talks is a response to the UN Security Council statement, released on Monday, which was deemed insulting to the North Korean people."

Like no one saw this coming talks couldn't stop them from launching a rocket over Japan, how are you going to convince them to stop their nuclear program. If the U.N. cant convince North Korea to end its program, than they have 0 chance in convincing Iran to stop. They are both sovereign states, and one has money(Not North Korea).

Pirates are back at it, does Greece have special forces to stop the pirates?(CNN)
"Pirates off the coast of Somalia hijacked a second freighter Tuesday, a NATO spokesman said.
The spokesman could not immediately provide further details.
Earlier in the day, pirates hijacked a 35,000-ton Greek-owned bulk carrier in the Gulf of Aden, off Somalia's northern coast, the European Union's Maritime Security Center said."

This article reports the remaining hijacker/terrorist of the U.S.flagged Maersk Alabama is only 16.

Americans don't listen to food recalls (Reuters)
Only about 60 percent of Americans search their homes for foods recalled because of contamination, researchers reported on Tuesday...
Nearly 75 percent of those surveyed said they would like to receive personalized information about recalls on store receipts, and more than 60 percent said they also would also like to receive such information via letter or e-mail.
Just 12 percent reported eating a food they thought had been recalled, while more than 25 percent said they threw out food after hearing about a recall.

That's a reasonable expectation that the FDA or Food company should be responsible to inform their consumers directly. That also means consumers would have to be willing to give their personal information and register with companies they buy food from. On second thought stupid idea, just read the Internet.

Facebook causes students to study less, NO! (USA today)
Does Facebook lead to lower grades? Or do college students with lower grades use Facebook more than their higher-achieving peers?
A study of 219 students at Ohio State University being presented at a conference this week doesn't answer those questions definitively. But it suggests a link between the social networking site and academic performance. READERS: What could you do with the time you spend on Facebook? Students who said they used Facebook reported grade-point averages between 3.0 and 3.5; those who don't use it said they average 3.5 to 4.0. Also, Facebook users said they studied one to five hours a week, vs. non-users' 11 hours or more.

Somebody got their doctorate off of this shit, they needed a study to alert them that Internet is distracting to college students. O its from Ohio State, way to add to your crappy economy don't worry football season is soon.
