If there was a magic wand, Bush would have given it to Halliburton.
“If there was a magic wand to wave, I’d be waving it, of course,” he told reporters at a Rose Garden news conference called on short notice. “But there is no magic wand to wave right now. It took us a while to get to this fix.”(MSNBC)
George Bush
This is the pinnacle of Executive branch arrogance, not once in this entire speech did President Semi-elect George Walker Bush. It is the congresses fault since they have encouraged war in Iraq to track Bin Laden, or was that sadam who knocked down the World Trade Center. You seem to have all these ideas, that encourage tax cuts. How do tax cuts pay for a multi-trillion dollar war? Not one analyst could explain that simple concept to me. But going into additional debt as a county is the answer in $600 tax refunds. It sounds like a lot now, but it isn't when consumers calculate their lost value during this administration. Housing values have plummeted alot more than $6.00, the price of gas has increased from about $1.34 to damn near $4.00 in less than 8 years. That $600 dollars is not nearly enough to compensate every citizen who footed the bill for the American elite tax cuts and the disastrous effects it along with a war with no direction has cost our country. Our grandchildren will be looking in the history book wondering how this could possibly happen to a nation of sensible people.

Pace of foreclosures more than doubles from same quarter in 2007
Housing prices drop at fastest pace ever: Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller index off 12.7 percent in Feb.
$600 dollars does not cover a 12.7 percent drop, much less in one month. Sheesh wake up people, pull the wool off of your eyes.
All I do is stay focused looking straight forward at the world, and beyond. I feel people pulling me down, I feel some pulling me up I can't get stuck. I just keep moving forward, I have places to go.

I Have test soon, but here are a couple of links I have found.

- Russia is ready to send the first monkey to Mars, now krosh the monkey can have someone to relate to.(BBC)
- The elephant might have evolved from a hippo type animal. It makes sense, the elephant is a huge animal to live on land. (BBC)
- Cheer for customer service, Delta & Northwest airlines have agreed to a 5billion dollar merger. :( (BBC)

AA company of the year
American Airlines canceled more flights today,
"American Airlines canceled nearly 600 more flights across the U.S. today as part of its MD-80 jet fleet remains grounded for maintenance checks."(LA Times)and tomorrow
"American Airlines says it has canceled about 200 MD-80 flights scheduled for Saturday and plans to resume a full, normal schedule on Sunday... At least 250,000 passengers have been affected by the American cancellations this week."(MSNBC)Normally when you piss off 250,000 customers you care enough to apologize instead of blaming the FAA for finally monitoring airlines.
-Maybe Daniel Gross can tell us when Airlines will become customer oriented again.(NEWSWEEK)
I am sure it excited potential travelers to hear American Airlines decided to match United Airlines rate hike.
"The nation's major airlines have matched a fare increase of up to $30 per round trip that was started by United Airlines. American Airlines, the nation's largest carrier, matched the fare hike on Friday afternoon, which may have removed the last obstacle to making the increase stick.Airlines say they need to raise fares to cover jet fuel costs. The price of fuel tracks the price of oil, which hit a record Wednesday before declining Thursday and Friday."(MSNBC)

Britons drink Poop for $100
Britons drink poop(DUNG) for $100, well they actually pay $100 dollars per cup to drink poop.
I don't know sounds like a scam, I am sure i can find my German Shepard some coffee beans from Starbucks. Let him ingest the beans, and i will let the Britons take the beans if they clean up the residual effects of feeding a dog. Sheesh, just gross.
I am not eating and defiantly not drinking anything that comes out of the CIVET, it looks like a mix between a raccoon and a marsupial

Kopi Luwak, is the name of the coffee. If you would like to see a picture of the beans in their natural form, which I will abstain from posting. Click on the link and the picture will be to your right. Who was the first person to try this? LINK
"Britons are being encouraged to spend £50 -- about $100 -- for a cup of
coffee that is made from animal dung. The barista says Caffe Raro is a complex and costly blend of coffee that includes rare Jamaican Blue Mountain and Kopi Luwak beans. What makes this beverage truly unique is the fact that Kopi Luwak beans come from the droppings of civets, a cat-like animal. The Associated Press described the process back in 2004: Civets live in the foliage of plantations across Southeast Asia. These fussy foragers pick the best and ripest coffee berries. Enzymes in their digestive system break down the flesh of the fruit before the animals expel the bean. Workers collect beans from the plantation floor, wash away the dung and roast them to produce a unique drink that devotees might say is good to the last dropping I am not quite sure what is worth, my dog will make you guys some coffee beans for alot less than $100 dollars. "(USA TODAY )

Riot Alert: Haiti;Wyclef for President
Haiti is one of the poorest countries if not the poorest county in the world is back in the news. Political turmoil has been part of the status quo since the 50's, but not until recently has this tipping point finally been reached due to the rising cost of living and a food shortage. Rene Preval, the raining emperor/president of Haiti decided to stand up and make a statement for his country.
Way to be proactive Captain Obvious. Riots rarely stop any problem, but they are the voice of the forgotten. It is obvious that the people in HAITI need HOPE and food. In a country with the land size that is smaller land size than Maryland and a population of 8 million plus. Captain obvious needs a better plan then telling the people of the great country to stop. BBC reports on his address to citizens earlier today.
I hope I am wrong but this might be another coup d'etat to add to Haiti's volatile yet rich history.
Wyclef for President, he isnt elected and he cares. Vote for Haiti's favorite Son.

"To those who are stirring up violence, I order you to stop because it is not going to solve the problem," Rene Preval

In a country with no major exports and not enough natural resources or agricultural resources to provide adequate food for the population. What in the hell are you doing, if the people and Haiti are starving.Food prices, which have risen 40 percent on average globally since mid-2007, are causing unrest around the world. But they pose a particular threat to democracy in Haiti, where most people live on less than US$2 (euro1.27) a day.
Preval acknowledged that in his address, saying Haiti's predicament comes partly from its dependence on imported rice that has weakened national production.
But it was unclear whether the address would appease the rioters, who are demanding Preval's resignation for failing for tame the rising prices. (AP)

Bear Stearns, who the hell are you
Bear Stearns investors cried and cried and finally was able to convince JP Morgan to revise their offer from $2 per share to $10 per share. CNBC reports
The crazy part, investors are crying like it is there right to be fully compensated for investing in a company that has no liquidity to any of their assets. Just the name of Bear Stearns.
I understand that I may, scratch that, I am out of line for saying this to the share holders of Bear Stearns. I would like to cordially say Fuck You, how could you reject money to keep the company afloat. Without JP Morgan, the board is worth nothing. With JP Morgans original bid at least you received 2 million dollars back Mr. Lewis a fraction of your investment, with the revised deal you will receive 10million dollars in JP Morgan Stock for your floundering investment. Hey You win some you lose some. Their investors are only talking shit and whining because they know that the fed bailed them out, they should take what they can and shut up.
Once again this entire arrangement proves the power and liability of words.
"Bear Stearns employees are angry with Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan's chief executive, because he stated at an internal meeting that he would not increase the orignal $2 per share bid. Because of this, many Bear employees sold stock at the then-market price of roughly $6. Legal action is a possible avenue.CNBC"
I understand that in normal cases a lawsuit would be warrented. This is anything but normal, to the people that sold it at 2 dollars. Are you stupid? JP Morgan was going to compensate you with their stock in exchange for yours. If you wanted to go ahead and sell your bear stearns stock on the open market, then that is your fault. It is assumed that JP Morgans value will go up with a federally insured loan. Now that the FED invested 30 BILLION, there is no way they are going to let JP Morgan fell. In summarry Bear Stearns Stock Crashed, JP Morgan offered $2 dollars a share in compensation. The inpatient idiots who already lost a shitload of money liquadated their $2 shares, after the Fed announced their loan. In my opionion which doesnt mean much, I dont think they have anyone to blame.
"JPMorgan has raised its much-scrutinized bid for Bear Stearns to $10 a share in an effort to appease shareholders unhappy with the fire-sale price set in the deal last week. But its efforts may not be enough." CNBC

"major shareholders including British entrepreneur Joseph Lewis are apparently preparing to challenge the new deal, which hands JP Morgan 39.5 percent of Bear Stearns stock and gives them a virtual lock on getting a majority of shareholders on board to approve the deal. Lewis' position is that if JP Morgan is on the hook for Bear's liabilities under the old deal, shareholders could reject it, and JP Morgan would be forced to raise the bid to more than $10 bucks a share, sources close to major shareholders said."
