Yeah he did!

I don't want to hear this shit anymore from these haters "Obama has been in office a whole year and hasn't done anything, nor has he kept any of his promises." Besides the obvious bullshit of that statement, Obama has finally fulfilled the U.S.A.'s promise to its citizen all the way back to the establishment of the U.N. Deceleration of Human Rights of 1948 in article 25 which states(UN.org):
"* (1) Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control."
If you need to be refreshed, the UN was established as a replacement for the League of Nations after the second World war and was encouraged by the current president at the time Harry Truman. In a letter to the UN delegates President Truman wrote
"We represent the overwhelming majority of all mankind. We Speak for people who have endured the most savage and devastating war ever inflicted upon innocent men, women and children. We hold a powerful mandate from our people. . . . . We must build a new world " a far better world " one in which the eternal dignity of man is respected. (rightstohealthcare)"

Past presidents who tried to make it happen and failed include Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, and Bill Clinton (Slate.com) That isn't including his other accomplishments such as the Stimulus bill that goes to help tax payers, the opposite of TARP. He has strengthened foreign relations at a time in which the United States was loosing influence due to the economy, and finally telling Israel to stop their expansion into Palestine territory if they ever truly want peace. With that out in the open, tell me a more successful first year of a presidency that you remember?

Insurance Society

As a society culture, whatever you want to call it we are an insurance assured society. Not because you have insurance to live, but if you want that nice feeling inside then you better get insurance. Insurance protects you from dumb ass drivers (That includes yourself) and from most medical conditions if its not one of those pre-existing condition (A pre-existing condition is a health problem that existed before you apply for a health insurance policy or enroll in a new health plan. About.com). Basically means despite a 2000 dollar premium they can screw you out of life necessary services if they decide you where fucked up before you bought insurance. I'm sure the idea started to keep people away from purchasing insurance after they determined they where sick, but it has been extended to the point that some families can never be covered which is fucked up.

But I have an idea (Voice from the wire: "O shit Randy has an Idea!")Currently in the state or country of Texas it is required to have vehicle insurance if you have car. You are allowed to have just liability which is the cheapest and covers property damages of others if you fuck it up with your current car. That is completely a reasonable requirement, even though it is at the very least $39 dollars a month depending on your covered vehicle. If you drive a motorcycle, liability is only $110 a year. Since it is likely you cant damage to much property just yourself. As an owner of a vehicle it is likely you would want full coverage which is also required if your car is currently financed by someone. That mostly runs anywhere between 70 a month to 100's depending on the car. Their are approximately 20 million cars on the road in Texas, 16 million of them having at least liability insurance according to (Texassure.com)The program rolled out by the state of Texas after legislative action, that established a state database of all Texas insurance policies. At the very least that is 7.6 Billion dollars a year for the various insurance companies. I calculated that by assuming 16 million people have at least $40 dollar per month insurane. 40 X 12 months = 480 x 16,000,000 = 7,680,000,000. Thats not even including the million or so drives who have full coverage that would bring that insurance income to over 10 billion dollars. Now that is a heavy income even if they have to pay out 3 billion dollars a year in claims in which I imagine is an over estimation.

Don't lose me now the estimated population of the country of Texas is estimated to be 24,782,302 as of 2009(US Census), and growing due to the economy. If the Insurance companies could come up with reasonable rates and plans their growth could be exponential especially due to the law of averages (“If the probability of a given outcome to an event is P and the event is repeated N times, then the larger N becomes, so the likelihood increases that the closer, in proportion, will be the occurrence of the given outcome to N*P.” Probability theory) which car companies dont believe in, but thats a whole other thought. The more people you have the cheaper a service should become since investment per capita goes down in price is the law of averages. For argument sake lets say insurance companies offer two type of insurance plans. Full coverage for the middle class and rich that cover everything but probably starts at 4,000 for a family of 3. Also a basic coverage which prohibits cosmetic bullshit and annual dental and bi-annual eye exams. Lets be honest, an eye exam cost as little as 100 as a walk in. Their have been plenty of people who have never gotten their teeth checked in the last year. TO be honest braces are a luxury and not a necessity. back to the main point of this paragraph, the cost of coverage that would include an annual doctor visit and physical and ER care for bad shit that could happen could cost 60 bucks a month. Less than the price of cable which is even less of a necessity. If every Texas resident had basic insurance it would equal to 17,843,257,440. Yeah Trillion of dollars count that up. ($60 x 12 Months = $720 x 24,782,302people = 17.8 billion dollars). And thats basic insurance profits, no one can tell me that wouldn't cover the cost of coverage and leave billions for profit. Just a thought based in reasoning, the Truth. All to give you that comfortable feeling inside, doesn't that make you feel good :(

GM is looking worse every day

Looks like its a wrap for GM, their shitty quality is catching up with them again(Reuters)
"General Motors Corp is recalling nearly 1.5 million Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac mid-sized cars due to a potential leak of engine oil that could cause an engine fire...GM said some of the vehicles have a condition in which drops of engine oil may be deposited on the exhaust manifold under hard braking."
Talk that shit now about quality GM, how can you promise customers that you will pay their payments if they lose their jobs if your company wont exist by the end of the year.
Remember the Formula for a company to initiate a recall
Take the number of vehicles in the field (A) and multiply it by the probable rate of failure (B) and then multiply the result by the average out of court settlement(C). A*B*C= X if X is less than the cost of a recall they don't do one. Makes you think how many people GM lit up in fires before they deemed this a problem?

Revelation stress and depression isn't good for your heart. (Reuters)

"Heart patients who become depressed have a higher risk of developing heart
failure, regardless of whether they take antidepressants, U.S. researchers said
on Monday. They said the study is the first to look at whether depression
raises the risk for heart failure, a chronic condition affecting 5 million
Americans in which the heart gradually loses its ability to pump blood
efficiently. "Our data suggest that depression is an important and emerging
risk factor for heart failure among patients with coronary heart disease," Heidi
May of Intermountain Medical Center in Utah, whose study appears in the Journal
of the American College of Cardiology, said in a statement.
Prior studies have shown that depression is about three times more common after a heart attack and depressed patients are at higher risk of a second heart attack.

Break through study doctors way to apply all that schooling. They are probably all depressed about the debt they are left with after surviving a heart attack.

You must Hate Children

At least every week I get in a discussion with someone about the current state of health care in the United States. About half of these conversations immediately turn political, "Obama's health care initiative is going destroy health care." That statement isn't enough everyone who says that statement follows it with the obligatory story from Canada or the UK. " Well my (Family Member) lives in (UK/Canada) and they have to wait for (Weeks, Months, Years) for medical care. If we go to socialized medicine, then we will have to wait forever for medical care. Well its not a particular president's health care initiative I care about, I just care about people having health care. Especially Children, they should not be held responsible based on the decisions that their parents make. Let me discuss some numbers, since they are credible and a quantifiable identifiable gauge of the state of health care.

On August 31, 2007
The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities a "policy organization..with particular emphasis on the impact of various budget choices on low-income Americans"(CBPP) Published a report entitled "MORE AMERICANS, INCLUDING MORE CHILDREN, NOW LACK HEALTH INSURANCE" Were they reported the amount of Uninsured Americans based on the data provided by the US Census Bureau. Their findings were the following:
-- The percentage of Americans without insurance climbed to 15.8 percent in 2006, above the 15.3 percent level in 2005 and considerably above the 14.1 percent level in 2001. The percentage of Americans without insurance has increased largely because employer-sponsored insurance coverage has continued to erode.
-- The percent of full-time working adults who lack health insurance rose to 17.9 percent in 2006, up from 17.2 percent. The number of full-time working adults who are uninsured climbed by 1.2 million, to 22.0 million.
Their findings in regards to insured children is alarming
-- The number of uninsured children under age 18 rose by 600,000, from 8.05 million in 2005 to 8.66 million in 2006. The percentage of children who lack health insurance also rose from 10.9 percent to 11.7 percent.
--
the number and percentage of children who are uninsured declined from 1999 through 2004, but that trend stopped and began to reverse in 2005
--
From 2004 to 2006, the percentage of children covered by public insurance remained unchanged and thus could not offset the continued reduction in the percentage of children covered by employer-sponsored insurance. The result was an overall reduction in children’s coverage.

The Report from The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities "Poverty Rate and Non-Elderly Median Income, Worst Performance on Record For Any Six Years of Economic Growth"(CBPP) which analyzed the data for the year of 2007 provided by the US Census Bureau. There was an improvement but not much of an improvement.
-- The percentage of children without coverage dropped by 500,000, from 8.66 million in 2006 to 8.15 million in 2007. The percentage of children without coverage dropped from 11.7 percent in 2006 to 11.0 percent
The report also noted:
"last year Congress failed to override a presidential veto of SCHIP legislation that the Congressional Budget Office estimated would have led by 2012 to coverage for nearly 4 million children who otherwise will be uninsured; this means many states likely will be unable to sustain or build upon this progress in 2008."

These are not numbers to be proud of. In 1948 the United Nations General Assembly Adopted and proclaimed by General Assembly resolution 217 A (III)(Universal Decleration of Human Rights) Article 25 section 1 and 2 states the following:

"(1) Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control.

    (2) Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection."

This resolution that was adopted in New York City by 51 member countries including the five permanent members of the Security Council- France, the Republic of China, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom and the United States. In NEW YORK CITY(U.S.A.) By no means is any resolution within the General Assembly Binding, but it should be noted this was in the first two years of the United Nations inception in which Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill were credited as the creators. That being said, how are we the country not following essentially our own resolutions in decree. ALL CHILDREN...SHALL ENJOY THE SAME PROTECTION of Article 25 sec 1. If you hate socialized health insurance for kids, then you must hate children. If you hate the idea of socializing medical care because you think its communisim then you are an idiot. At least this has a benifit, its not like you dont have a SOCIAL security number or recieved an education from a Public school, or drivin on PUBLIC roads, or drink from MUNICIPAL water supply. Its all for the social good you idiot. GOOD.
